5.0 Conclusion

            
            As a conclusion, I think Human Resource Information System is very important in any organization or company to be practices. By using a systematic system, each work in human resource starting from recruitment process will be going smoothly without any big problems. But it is also need expertise to handle it then teach others how to use it competently. Basically, nowadays each of companies in the world has their own official web page which from the web, they can share any information regarding their business or human practices. Other than, many people also can easily accessing the basic information just to know about the company’s basic background. 

            Besides that, the most important thing need to be concern when using a ‘system’ is all about security. Is it the system have strong security system or not? Every system that has been created or being used must have strong security system. It is because when world become high in technology and increasing number of intelligent people, there is must be something bad intelligent people will do with the system such as hacking activity. Hackers always like to hack other people website, transfer virus and steal important confidential information from any company’s system. So, that is why it is very important for the company to be aware about this security issues. 

            But not least, we need to use system accordingly how it will be operate. So that, the whole works in human resource will not disturbed and run smoothly. Actually, a system was created because wanted to help human to do their work more easily compared when using manual. By using system, for example e-recruitment system, it helps company to reduce cost and time for recruitment process. So, it is good actually to have very compatible system in this era of globalization.

4.0 Web Based Human Resource Planning: Recruiting and Staffing




In this topic, I have learned about recruiting and staffing. In recruiting process, organization has to attract, screen and select the most compatible applicant which is really suitable with the current job offered. While staffing process occurs when organizations have selected and train individuals for the specific job functions and exposed them with their responsibilities towards the job. Basically, in these recent years, organizations only use e-recruitment system to advertise their job vacancies. By this kind of recruitment system, applicants from everywhere can apply for the job by submitting their own personal details and resume through organization’s official web-page.

There are several advantages of e-recruitment system used by the organization. The first is application for the job can reach the large target. This is because many applicants with different qualification will apply for the advertised job. So that, organization will have many candidates that need to be screen and select after viewing automatically their qualifications through the system. Then, the most important thing is organization can reduce cost and time for the recruitment process. They just need to publish their available position using company’s website only. Other than that, organization can get information quickly because the system always gives the update information.

Besides that, there are also several disadvantages need to be considered by the organization or company while using e-recruitment system. The first disadvantage is information overload where organization will have too many information about the applicants although most of them are not capable and suitable with the job. Other than that, accessing information in the system are only limited to members of the organization only and not for the outsider. It is because to access for the information they need to use password so that it will enhance the security of confidential information regarding the recruiting process.


3.0 Transnational Human Resource Information System




Transnational Human Resource Information System consists of the combination between multinational, global and international changes of business environment. So that, in human resource service model, usually there are three types of service such as global service, regional and local service which all of them will influence on how human resource information being delivered and distributed from the headquarters until the bottom part such as the site.

Other than that in this topic, I have learned that if we want to create or build any system we need to design it first. The design of human resource information system is also called as “HRIS Architecture”. There are three basic models that have been used in HRIS Architecture such as Standalone, Data Warehouse and Single Integrated Model. Besides that, in designing HRIS first we need to consider some major concern such as the users of the system and security of the system.

The users of the system can be divided into two categories which are employees of the organization and non-employees. The employees of the organization are people who are in paid employment while non-employees are people who are not being employed by the organization but they have something to do with the company such as suppliers, customers and potential employees. Before we designed the system these both of user need to be considered especially for the potential employee where they want to get information regarding the recruitment process from the human resources system such as e-recruiting.

When designing HRIS, security of the system is also one of the most important things need to be aware. This is because we do not want any strangers easily use their intelligent to hack the system. Thus, one of the ways is by creating system which needs to use password or pin as the personal identification number but it is only capable for the organization’s members. Moreover, different level of employee can access information related to them only. That’s why employees need their own personal identification number when accessing any information related to them.

2.0 Managing the Digital Firm



In my opinion, we need to study about these topics because nowadays, data and information are easily gathered in one system. Peoples around the world started create an effective data storage system in their organization too many years ago. Just now, people or organization in Malaysia are already aware about on how to have a concrete and secure system in order to retrieve, collect, process, store and distribute their information so that the system can help organization in doing decision making and controlling.

Nowadays, the role of internet technology has influence in spreading the information regarding any HR practices, products or services provided by the organization. Other than that, there are four powerful worldwide changes that have altered the business environment which were Globalization, Rise of the Information Economy, Transformation of the Business Enterprise and Emergence of the Digital Firm. But then, there are also positive and negative impacts of information system that has been used by any company or organization nowadays.

The positive impacts are including business services become more efficient, information regarding business can be easily distributed in global and patterns for the customer purchase easily being analyzed. Business services become more efficient because buyers and sellers easily can exchange their information about the products, services and payments term.

Other than that, the negative impacts of information system are the first is about the privacy of the information shared. Some information can be shared easily but, some of them are very confidential especially in terms of Human Resource practices and the way company being operated. Secondly, when we talk about system, it was created by human thus, it can also being outages and shutdowns for the time being. So that, it need to be improved time after time suitable with the enhancement in technology system. Thirdly is about illegal distribution of intellectual property issues. This problem happen when someone in the company or organization shared any confidential information or paperwork to the other competitors. Thus, automatically it is considered as illegal distribution of information then, which did it, can be sued by the company.


1.0 Introducing Myself



Assalamualaikum. My name is Nur Shakila binti Ibharim. I am 22 years old and I came from Temerloh, Pahang. I was born in 29th April 1990 at my hometown. Now, I am third year student in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. InsyaAllah I will graduated from this Universiti Teknologi Malaysia soon. So, I really hope that for this last semester I will do my best to achieve excellent result and graduated with first class degree. Some of my friends said that pointer is not the point to success. But, for me it is everything. Yeah, I quite agreed that we need extra skills and knowledges to be accepted in an organization when we applying for work. In my opinion, Allah has give me chances for this three years to do my best. That’s why I can’t waste the chances that have already given to me. But, or course at the same time I need to improve myself in terms of my knowledge in Islam, skills in communication, handling stress, conflict and many others. I’m very gratefull if I can improve myself although it just a little bit improvements.

Now I’m trying to be the positive thinker. What peoples say and talk to me, I will evaluate it first to know about the true. Why? Because before this, I am the one who was always get influence by the other people stories. Then, definitely what they are told to me, I will believed. So, now I want to stop all my negative thinking and try not to influence by the others. It just good to be myself. Not to be other people.
